Where did it all begin....

I fondly remember settling down in front of the TV as a child to watch classic Hollywood movies, admiring the glamour and poise of the actors. I was captivated by the polished tweed suits topped with perfectly positioned hats, the glide of heavily beaded evening gowns, and the swagger of structured coats. This admiration sparked my love for vintage clothing.

 

These images stayed with me as I grew up, and when I entered the world of film and photography, it was clear how much they influenced my aesthetic. I have collected vintage pieces from a young age and loved learning about their history—the stories behind each item.

I couldn’t bear to leave behind beautiful vintage clothing that didn’t fit me. It felt like my duty to give these garments a new lease on life and send them on a new journey.

Thus, Retro Route Vintage was born.

 

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing people, from styling to providing items for major films. Retro Route Vintage has grown significantly, and I have learned so much along the way. I run it all as a one-woman operation, which allows me to be involved at every stage and communicate directly with my customers. My focus will always be on quality and showcasing my passion for vintage, whilst providing you with a unique vintage shopping experience.
